The Inception of TIAS: The Indian Aquascapers Summit
A foundational movement led by Yuvaraj V.M. of Aqua Club.
Aquascaping in India has grown steadily over the years — with hobbyists learning, experimenting, and sharing their work among small community groups. However, there was no national platform that brought everyone together to learn, collaborate, and celebrate the art of aquascaping.
In 2025, this changed when Yuvaraj V.M., founder of Aqua Club, envisioned a space where aquascapers across India could connect, showcase their talent, and grow together as a community. This idea led to the formation of The Indian Aquascapers Summit.
The Vision Behind the Summit
The purpose of the Indian Aquascapers Summit is to:
- Unite aquascapers from across India
- Encourage open learning and skill development
- Provide a platform to showcase creative aquascapes
- Bring world-renowned aquascapers to India for workshops and studio sessions
- Grow the hobby in a structured and inspiring way
The First Event: “The Art of Aquascaping”
To introduce the Summit to the community, Aqua Club organized its first major event on October 25, 2025, titled “The Art of Aquascaping.” The session was presented by Adip Sajjanraj from ADA India.
During the event, Adip performed a live aquascaping demonstration on a 3-foot Nature Aquarium, guiding attendees through layout planning, hardscape arrangement, planting, and flow visualization. The audience had the opportunity to observe, learn, and interact throughout the demonstration.
The turnout was exceptional — aquascapers and aquarium enthusiasts traveled from different cities to attend. The energy, engagement, and learning atmosphere made it clear that the community was ready and eager for a platform like this.
It was a major success — and a turning point.
The positive response to the event confirmed the vision: India is ready for a national aquascaping movement.
Moving Forward: A Continuing Journey
The Indian Aquascapers Summit is now set to continue as an ongoing series of:
- Workshops
- Studio-style masterclasses
- Live aquascaping events
- Community meetups
- Future national-level aquascaping competitions
Each event will contribute to strengthening the aquascaping community, inspiring new creators, and helping India establish itself on the global aquascaping map.
A Community Movement
What started as an idea from Yuvaraj is now a collective journey shared by aquascapers across India. This is more than a series of events — it is the foundation of a movement.
To every aquascaper: your aquarium is your canvas. Together, we are shaping the future of aquascaping in India.
